Federal Construction Contracting 


Mission Statement

To empower federal contractors with the knowledge, tools, and regulatory insights required to confidently and compliantly navigate construction and A/E procurement under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), advancing excellence, competitiveness, and integrity in federally funded construction projects.


Course Purpose

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the federal acquisition framework as it pertains to construction and architecture-engineering (A/E) services. Participants will learn to interpret and apply key FAR parts and clauses, understand procurement methods and contract types, navigate design and construction phases, ensure compliance with labor and environmental standards, and enhance their ability to compete for and perform federal contracts effectively.

Course Title: 


Federal A/E Contracting — Brooks Act & FAR Compliance


Mission Statement

To cultivate a highly capable community of federal A/E contractors equipped with a deep understanding of the FAR and Brooks Act procurement processes, enabling ethical, innovative, and compliant delivery of architecture and engineering services for the federal government.


Course Purpose

This course is designed to prepare professionals and firms in the architecture and engineering (A/E) industry to understand and successfully participate in federal A/E contracting. It offers focused training on the statutory and regulatory framework—particularly FAR Subpart 36.6 and the Brooks Act—that governs qualifications-based selection (QBS), contract types, labor standards, negotiation protocols, and performance expectations for federal A/E services.
