FCCOC Board of Advisors

The FCCoC Board of Advisors members are well seasoned leaders in their respective fields, offering deep expertise and insight that shape our programs and strategic direction. Many currently serve or have served in technical and industry-specific roles within areas such as information technology, construction, professional staffing, healthcare, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, education, and law. Their collective knowledge ensures FCCoC remains aligned with the evolving needs of clients.

8(a) BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR

An 8(a) Business Development Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring FCCoC effectively supports socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners in navigating and succeeding in the federal contracting space. These advisors bring direct experience and/or specialized knowledge of the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program, allowing them to provide meaningful guidance grounded in real-world application.


With deep expertise in procurement policy, small business growth strategy, and agency engagement, 8(a) Advisors deliver high-impact educational support that strengthens participants’ readiness and long-term contracting capacity. As trusted mentors and advocates, they help FCCoC accurately assess and address the unique educational needs of 8(a) businesses—ensuring participants make the most of their time in the program and graduate equipped with the skills, relationships, and infrastructure needed to thrive in the federal marketplace.

8(a) BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR

 A Veteran Business Advisor brings unmatched value to the small business community by combining military discipline, mission-focused strategy, and first-hand experience navigating government systems. These advisors understand both the unique strengths and the distinct challenges veteran-owned businesses face in the federal marketplace. Drawing from their service background, they offer practical, results-driven guidance that helps veteran entrepreneurs build credibility, pursue federal contracts, and position themselves competitively within their industries. Their insight is particularly valuable in aligning a business’s goals with federal acquisition priorities and veteran-focused procurement programs.


In their role, Veteran Business Advisors serve as internal Chamber mentors, educators, and strategic planners, often assisting the Chamber with business readiness assessments, compliance requirements, and updates related to the VA’s VOSB/SDVOSB programs or SBA’s contracting opportunities.

A Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Advisor plays a vital role in helping FCCoC advance the success of women entrepreneurs in the federal contracting space. With a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing women in business, these advisors offer targeted support to help WOSBs navigate the complexities of government procurement. Their value lies in their ability to translate federal acquisition policies into practical, actionable strategies—empowering women business owners to build confidence, craft competitive proposals, and leverage the advantages of SBA’s WOSB and EDWOSB programs.


WOSB Advisors are also responsible for ensuring that FCCoC delivers relevant and impactful education, tools, and resources that prepare women entrepreneurs to become contract-ready and agency-aligned. Their strategic insight helps FCCoC remain responsive and effective in meeting the real needs of women-owned businesses. By supporting women in overcoming systemic barriers and positioning their businesses for long-term success,
