City / State Director Disclosure Notice
Position Overview:
City / State Directors are official representatives of the Federal Contractors Chamber of Commerce (FCCoC) within their assigned geographic areas. They are responsible for advancing FCCoC’s mission by building local membership, leading outreach efforts, coordinating educational initiatives, and serving as a primary point of contact for federal contracting resources within their community.
Eligibility Requirements:
*Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong community engagement.
*Commitment to the mission and objectives of the FCCoC.
* Preferred: Prior experience in federal government contracting, acquisition, or related fields.
Internship Requirement:
Applicants without prior experience in the federal government or federal contracting must complete a two-year internship under the guidance of the FCCoC leadership team before assuming full management responsibilities as a City / State Director.
During the internship period, candidates will:
- Receive specialized training in federal acquisition and contracting processes.
- Assist experienced FCCoC leadership in local and national initiatives.
- Build professional knowledge, relationships, and readiness to effectively manage a local FCCoC office.
Additional Notes:
- Appointment as a City / State Director is subject to FCCoC approval after successful completion of the internship, performance evaluations, and compliance with FCCoC standards of professionalism and ethics.
- Interns may be eligible for early appointment based on outstanding performance and at the discretion of FCCoC leadership.
